Scientific Advisory Committee

The Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) is comprised of senior funded investigators in biomedical, clinical and translational research within the University, regional medical institutions and the Jackson Laboratory.  Reporting to the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), SAC evaluates all pilot proposals and related projects with an NIH-type peer review process.  Specifically, they evaluate proposals to ensure compliance with federal regulations and NIH policies regarding human subjects, GWAS, stem cells and model organisms.  Post evaluation, they provide scoring and make funding recommendations submitted to the adjudication committee of the SAB for final funding decisions.
